Within these results I have found many interesting things that people of my own target audience have said they like and wan to see in a horror. With the first question I ask 15 people,'What key parts do they look for in a horror?' and the most common answer that I received was the element of surprise. This implies that my target audience of late teens like to see a twist within the plot or watch a horror for the thrills and jump scares. The point of all of these results is to give me an indiction of how I can make my plot more appealing to target audience. From this question I have noted that jump scares will help my trailer become more appealing.
The next question I asked my audience to fill out was a rating question. The audience was asked to rate what kind of horror hybrids they prefer. The top results I received were a phycological horror and a supernatural horror. My vague plot implies that there is going to be something supernatural happening within the plot so that's already sorted however,in order to make my plot appeal even more to my audiences I can add I phycological twist to my Story.I could do this my maybe exploring weakness and fears of people.

Through the results of my next question I have found that 'Effective killings' were the most favoured results in the,'What makes a horror good?' question. The implies a complex death may make my target audience more intrigued with my idea if I wrote it into my plot.
As we don't have a full movie to take the best bits from we have to almost simulate that there is a full movie behind it which means a range of locations are needed. The top 3 locations that were picked were,'Woods' and a 'Quiet village' however, the same amount of results were taken for ,'Hotel','Haunted House' and 'School'.I can't really pick a specific location for my trailer as the decisions will come with further planning and story boarding. However, this will give me a good starting point.
The next question I asked was,'What villains do you want to see in a horror?'.The most common results i have found was,'Children' and 'Ghost/Figures'.The fact that my target audience said children were the scariest villains quiet surprises me because children are not threatening by nature however,Through realising that recent horror films like 'The Ring' and 'Mama' have put this stereotype on them I doesn't actually come to that much of a surprise. The Moral reasons i don't think children will be the best actor and actresses to preform in my horror trailer therefore I think I'm going to dismiss this idea and maybe develop the second answer of 'Ghost/Figures' more into my plot line, to make my plot more appealing.
After this I asked my audience,'What object there more terrified of?' and the most common answer I received was 'Black Magic'.This question Re-confirms the results found from question two.As the supernatural element is definitely what my audience want to see therefore i must find a way to include this within my trailer.
In order for you to understand the rest of target audiences answers i have copied in my vague plot:
'A girl in her late teens comes across a mysterious box, that upon its opening releases a dark presence which makes an attempt to consume the girls life.'
I asked, 'What they thought was good about my idea so far?' and the responses I received were pretty similar however, one common comment I got was that it remind them of pandora's box.I order to understand where my audience is coming from I did some research about the myth of the pandora's box and here is a brief look at what I have found?,
Pandora's box is an artifact in Greek mythology, taken from the myth of Pandora's creation in hesoid's Works and days. The "box" was actually a large jar given to Pandora ("all-gifted", "all-giving"),which contained all the Evils of the world.
Today the phrase "to open Pandora's box" means to perform an action that may seem small or innocent, but that turns out to have severely detrimental and far-reaching consequences.
Maybe incorporating some of this legend into my plot may help make my narrative more of a solid story.I also had many responses saying it's quiet a unique idea.
I then asked my audience,'What they thought was good about my idea?'.I answers I received told me that my audience are already picking out supernatural elements within my plot as someone has stated,'Sort of mythical'.Also my target audience are stated that 'It's very horror',which is exactly what I'm trying to convey therefore I think my vague plot was a good starting choice for me to choose.
I Later asked my artist audience what they,'Liked' and 'Disliked' about my idea.A-lot of the responses I received just said or implied that my plot was good however needed much more development with it.One answer that intrigued me is,'Maybe you could exploit the girls weaknesses'.This could fit into the results found about people's fears.Out of the five fed back to me,'Being stalked' and 'Each Other-Maybe a loved one' could be changed and adapted to become part of my horror. My target audience has also warned me not to be to cliche as it could ruin how unique it could be.From these results I can only adapt my idea from them to make my idea more appealing. In order to see exactly what ones work I will have to do some more research and development to make sure my trailer takes the right direction.
I later asked my audience to write down,'Any words that spring to mind when reading my vague plot?'.The purpose of this question was to help me come up with a title for my (trailer) film.Again there was references to pandora's box however, that is cliche therefore I was think about doing some further research to see what other culture perhaps call this myth and see if there is anyway that I can develop this idea in order to give me a name for my trailer.also death and procession have been a common reoccurrence throughout these answers therefore I was maybe thinking inspired by the 'Black Magic' answer i could look down the latin language look in order to create my title.
